What is the GAA?

The purpose of the GAA is to ensure volunteers, staff and other industry advocates have a practical understanding of the fundamentals of Canadian politics and how to effectively engage politicians and their staff, to advocate HPBAC issues, participate in various governmental processes and confidently navigate the political environment in Canada at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.

GAA 2018

Our second Government Affairs Academy was held May 7th to the 9th, in Ottawa, Ontario. The intense two and a half day workshop was designed to prepare attendees for navigating the political and public challenges affecting their businesses, with a focus on understanding current threats and opportunities facing the industry, and promoting better advocacy. Speakers included Don Huff from ECO Strategy, Dana Moroz from Napoleon Wolfsteel, and Media Specialist Brian McAndrew.

GAA 2016
